Maxis joined businesses from across Bracknell’s Southern and Western Business Areas to vote yes for the renewal of Bracknell Bid, securing £3.5 million in funding.
Dedicated to enhancing the business environment and advocating for local business interests up to 2030, the ballot attracted overwhelming support:
85% of votes cast were in favour of the BID Renewal by total number of businesses.
87% of votes (by rateable value) backed the renewal.
This impressive outcome exceeds the support shown in the previous ballot held in 2019, highlighting the trust and confidence the local business community places in the BID’s initiatives.
Frasers Property, owners of Maxis Business Park and a key local stakeholder and supporter of Bracknell Bid said the result was great news for the area.
“We welcome the continued collaboration and investment in the area and the opportunities it will bring for businesses and the wider community.
“We’ve already seen the results of Bracknell Bid’s commitment to serving local businesses, with improvements to landscaping, infrastructure and transport services including the Bracknell Bid Shuttle bus, which improves connectivity in the area and encourages more sustainable travel options.
“We’re excited to see what the next five years will bring with further planned enhancements to Bracknell’s business districts and support to attract and retain top talent, looking after the long-term wellbeing of employees, ensuring Bracknell is a key destination for forward thinking businesses to be located in.”
